$2,400.00

This training integrates the Hakomi Method of mindfulness-based, body-centered psychotherapy and the Re-Creation of the Self (R-CS) Model of the self with a holistic health orientation, and is geared especially toward naturopathic physicians and students. The curriculum emphasizes applying mindfulness-based techniques to holistic mental health, specific ethical issues around a naturopath’s scope of practice, enhancement of interpersonal skills as a healing practitioner, safely processing intense emotions, learning about how attachment and trauma impacts the mind and the body, and knowing when and to whom to refer. Classes are taught through short-talks, unique, skill-based experiential exercises, supervised practice, and demonstrations. Participants can expect a low student-teacher ratio, a relaxed and participatory learning environment and numerous opportunities to practice new skills with other group members.
